EUROPEAN MUSIC 1600-1750:different national styles (French, Italian, German), important musical centers and composers, different forms of music, and social milieus of music-making and consumption. The student will acquire basic knowledge of the baroque music and its history, esthetics and development, important composers and their music and the social settings of the music. The student will read through the textmaterial, watch the videos and listen to the music examples that are on the course platform. MUSIKEN 1600-1750: olika nationella stilar (fransk, italiens, tysk), viktiga musikcentren och tonsättare, musikens former och sociala miljöer. Den studerande ska bekanta sig med barockens musik och estetik. Studerande ska ha grundkunskaper om barockens historia och utveckling, viktigare tonsättare och deras musik samt musikens sociala miljöer. Den studerande ska gå genom texter (på finska och engelska), bilder, videomaterial och musikexempel som finns på kursplattformen. Price

The course is free of charge for degree students and exchange students at universities of applied sciences and for path students at Open UAS. Open UAS students pay a fee determined by the Open UAS to the university of applied sciences that offers the course in question. This is a Novia course, fee for openUAS students 30€
